I'm busy prepping for the classes I'm teaching at The Ink Pad in June.  The Saturday class is called "Develop a Mark Making Vocabulary."  As part of that class we are designing and creating our own set of foam stamps.  Here's a quick video of me making the stamps and testing them out:

And here are the stamps:

I used each one to create an overall pattern and I love the way they turned out!

In class we'll be focusing on the design process — both creating "good design" as well as a cohesive collection of stamps that reflect your personal style.  If you're interested in signing up, you can do so through The Ink Pad's website.

Tomorrow I'll show you the stencils I've been working on for class.  I think a few them may end up being serious faves!

Thanks for stopping by!

  • Great stamps. It looks like you are using white fun foam. Is that correct?

  • Looks like so much fun, I’ll be there, can’t wait! Inkpad website just says craft foam on supply list – do you recommend certain thicknesses, adhesive-backed (I think I’ve seen that somewhere?), sizes, etc? TIA

  • We can work with anything you bring. Adhesive backed makes it quicker, but theyโ€™re flimsier in the long run. I like to use thin foam for the stamp and thick foam for the base.
