I've got another round-up of ScanNCut technique videos for you!  Let me know if you have questions that I can answer for you!

There are two kinds of type files built into your ScanNCut: lettering and fonts.  What's the difference?

Lettering-wm
Lettering consists of single cut files for each letter of the alphabet.  You choose each letter separately.

Fonts-wm
Fonts are an editable collection of letters and numbers.  You type the word or phrase you want into a keyboard and they appear all together as a single cut file.

If you know me, you know that I loooove tools.  In this video I'm excited to share a few of my favorite ScanNCut tools:

Tools-wm
Watch the video to see how each of the tools is meant to be used and stored!

To Recap:

  • Brayer: I use it to more strongly adhere fabric to my cutting mat.
  • Hook & Spatula: I use the hook to weed vinyl or help remove small pieces of paper from cuts.  I use the spatula to quickly clean off my mats.
  • Scraper: I use it to more strongly adhere paper and other materials, such as vinyl, to my cutting mat.

I have found that these simple tools make a big difference in my workflow!

Lastly, I've got a simple solution that's going to make your life so much easier: how to scan white items, like this leaf cut out:

  • Julie, I was wondering if you could tell me if glitter cardstock can be used in the scan n cut cm350. I didn’t know if the glitter would hurt the machine. Thanks. Deb H.

  • Some people cut glitter paper with their ScanNCut.  Personally, I worry about the glitter coming off in the  machine.  Its up to you.

  • I have a Bother SDX125TS. At start up it shows “feeder release lever needs to be locked” although it is locked at this point and won’t initiate start. I have tried most everything. Brother is telling me to take to an authorized dealer. Have you heard about this issue is it software or mechanical.

  • I have never heard of this issue before.  Personally, I would follow the advice you got from Customer Service and take it to an authorized dealer to be checked out.
