I wouldn't say that I've saved the best for last…but maybe that I've saved **my favorite ** for last!  I was gobsmacked by the Van Gogh Cherrywood Challenge.  Same fabrics, size, and theme and so much wild variation.  Amazing doesn't even begin to describe the experience.  And PS: I didn't photograph every quilt in the exhibit….

I think that the average person has a very narrow notion of what a quilt is.  Quilts, like any art form, take many shapes (literally and figuratively).  Quilt Festival is an opportunity to see that beautiful variety.  Here are some reference sites for you, depending on your quilt style (and you can be a person who likes multiple styles btw):

I find quilting and sewing enormously relaxing.  If you've never tried it before, I highly recommend giving a small quilt a try.  Creating in fabric is fun and easier than you think!  I hope you feel inspired to give it a try!
