I've got more WhimSoDoodle class photos for you. I know that St. Petersburg was hit by Hurricane Irma, so I'm hoping that the store and everyone who works and shops there is okay. My fingers are crossed. I know yours are too!
First up, photos from "Sketchbook: Yes, You Can Draw." And like the title says, students are always surprised that yes, they can draw!
I love it when we go outside and sketch from the local neighborhood. This is the "aha" moment for so many students! They realize that they can create sketches from the world around them. It's usually the moment where students tell me, "Oh my gosh. I'm going to take my sketchbook with me on my next trip!" I love that!
This next class is one that I'm hoping to offer an online version of sometime soon. It's called "Expanded Square" and you can see some videos of my process and lots of other people's work on instagram.
Last class is "Carving Stamps for Patterning." I will never tire of stamp carving. I love it with all of my heart!
You can find an online version of the class here. The online version of the class is a bit more involved than the in-person class. It takes the process a step further.
Assuming that everything is okay at WhimSoDoodle (fingers crossed), I will be teaching more classes there this Fall (October 13-15). Hope to see you there!
