Our guest this week is Jane Davies.
Jane is a full time artist working in painting and collage.
She offers workshops nationwide, focusing on developing a personal and playful approach to art making.
After graduating Bennington College and attending the School for American Crafts, Davies began as a potter in the early nineties. She gradually transitioned into freelance art, using painting and collage as her medium.
Since 2010 she has been teaching, writing, and making art.
She participated in a residency at Vermont Studio Center in 2015.
In addition to The Elements of Visual Language, Davies is the author of three books on collage and mixed media, one on ceramics, and has one DVD on painting and collage techniques.

I have been a follower/stalker of Jane Davies work for sometime now. This podcast is so on time because I am currently working with a writer and artist on a self-publishing project – as well as other ideas!
Can I say, I love your Mom. I love your interaction with each other. I especially appreciate her humor. I can really relate to her as a mother. For instance, did I hear her say you were good at acting? In my head, I heard that in mom-speak as “yeah, you have been known as being a bit of a drama queen!” 🙂 Kidding of course. LOL
Loved hearing the dog, but WHERE were Jane’s chickens?! I feel shortchanged. LOL
Going off to buy her book as soon as I get this to post (again?)
