I have wanted to do "real" paper marbling forever! I've got loads of books on the topic and I've watched videos and thought about it, but I knew that I needed the gentle shove of an in-person class. I did my research and finally found one! And you know what? It was flipping fantastic! I love, love, loved it so much!
Cristina Hajosy hosts small (we were three students) workshops in her home studio. She was very warm and welcoming and fed us some amazing homemade food!

There are incredible–like the beautiful papers I bought in Italy and have been hoarding for years. I have marblized paper using shaving cream, but never done the real thing. It looks like fun.

I have done ebru (“real” marbling) once, and loved it! Have all the proper equipment and colors to do it, but not enough room right now. I also love doing suminagashi, and that I have room to do in my kitchen. Love your output, Julie, and what a good idea to use them the way you did!

These are great! I love the 1st and 5th one the most. I noticed neither was on the society 6 sight. I’m just curious about your thoughts on these patterns…assuming they weren’t your favorites. Just thought provoking as to why I like and how you feel about those patterns.
