I'm getting in on the tutorial redo fun this week! I played with a variation on this Gelli Masked Heart tutorial from February 2016.
Now we're creating double masked prints! It's a pretty cool and super easy technique that you can use with your gelatin printing plate.
Watch the video for the how to:
And here are the prints from the video:
Super fun and easy!
Thanks for stopping by!

Love your use if layers! How does deli paper hold up over time? Would you just use it for personal use or do you think you could sell a piece that incorporated it? I’m worried it would yellow.

I currently have a Cricut but it is so expensive to use. I live in Florida in a retirement community. I would use the Scam n cut to make stencils and rubber stamps as well as words and phrases.

Which cutting machines do you currently own, if any? I bought a used CM550 a couple months ago, though I haven’t really had too much time to play with it. I had a cricut a few years ago, but was discouraged by the little I could do without purchasing a bunch of other stuff. I love that the SNC has built in features and you can create things in Canvas and transfer them for FREE!
What state do you live in? I live in Washington state.
What would you use a ScanNCut to create? I read your blog and belong to a couple facebook groups (which is how I found your blog!) and am amazed by all it can do. I bought my machine because I had visions of cutting out tiny applique’ pieces for my quilts. Now I know that I can use it for so much more! I want to create cards, t-shirts, mugs, stencils and so much more!

Scan N Cut I live in Woodbridge Virginia , I do not own a scan/ cutting machine, I have seen other machines, but felt there was nothing much I could do with them, this machine is awesome, I would use it to make stamps, I love stamps but they are to expensive and I would love to create designs on tissue paper sometimes finding unique prints is hard, prints for other materials, I love making dolls printing and scanning for my designs could and would make my dolls much more unique.

I own a Scan n Cut CN100, purchased the first year the Scan n Cut came out, but envy the wireless feature and added designs of the newer models. I live in Alabama and use my machine for cutting fabrics for applique (both business and personal use), cutting HTV for family members, and an occasional fancy card or other paper application. Will begin soon using my Sticker kit to make labels for my small on-line business.

I currently use a cricut expression 2 mostly just for scrapbook pages. I’m from Long Island, New York. With a scan n cut I would be able to scan my original artwork and I love the idea of making stencils and stamps of my designs like you do. You are very inspirational. And since following your blog for the last year or so you’ve inspired me to really let go and not worry about perfection!

I use an old cartridge Cricut for scrapbooking and mixed media (yes – I am frustrated by all the things that I cannot do with the machine.) I’m from Fairfield CT. If I was lucky enough to win a Brother ScanNCut CM350 I would use it for a myriad of fabric and paper projects – in addition to traditional scrapbooking. I have two family weddings coming up in 2017 and would scan pictures and family recipes then print onto fabric to sew aprons and print on paper for scrapbook and cookbook embellishments. Being able to print on fabric and cut it out presents a whole new world – of possibilities. One is to scan and print zantangles, journal prompts and other meaningful, emotional artwork to sew them together into a quilt.

I’m a few days behind and just got a gelliplate but find it doesn’t come clean easily and I end up scrubbing at bits of dried paint all around the edges. I’m using various acrylic paints. Am I missing something? I really want to try this but I don’t want to ruin my plate by scrubbing it each time I put it away.
