I don't know why.  But somehow I forget how much fun carving stamps can be and then #CarveDecember comes along and reminds me!  The daily pace really gets my creative juices flowing!  Here are the stamps I carved on days 12-18:

On Wednesday I carved the bird you above.  On Thursday I added some stamps that allowed me to "color in" the bird:

And then on Friday, I decided to make this bird the image for my holiday cards, so I carved out a sentiment.

I carved the stamp above for the backs of the holiday cards.  Sometimes if you let people know that a card is hand made they're less likely to toss it away.  (I'll share the completed cards soon — um…as soon as I complete them!  LOL!)

Sometimes.

  • How did you stamp the first tag in this post so that the stamp resists the color? Thanks.

  • It’s not resisting the color. It’s simply covered on top with some additional ink, which creates the illusion!
