The Adventures in Arting Podcast: Listener Mail (August 2016)

from the Balzer Designs Blog: Adventures in Arting Podcast

I'm delighted to bring you another episode of the Adventures in Arting Podcast!

If you do not see the podcast player above, please click on this link.  You can listen to a podcast anywhere and at any time.  It is a recording that is available to you whenever you'd like to listen.  If you'd like to download it to your iTunes library, click here.  You can also pause and rewind or fast forward as you desire.  I like to listen to podcasts while I'm making art.  It's a little like hanging out with friends while you art.

Today's episode is all about your questions and thoughts and ideas!  I selected some listener mail for Mom and me to discuss.  Our conversation ranges from copyright to framing to drug terminology.

from the Balzer Designs Blog: Adventures in Arting Podcast

We try to keep things fun and we hope you have fun when you listen!

Here is the link I promised to the Embroiderer's Guild of America.

I'm excited for you to give the podcast a listen and then join in the conversation!

Thanks for stopping by!

  • I am unable to play this podcast…is this Win10 messing with me again or is there truly no podcast?

  • Julie I have come to love your podcast especially the thought provoking discussions relating to art and artists. I have been a long time reader of your blog and listener of your podcast.
I especially love your mom. I feel like she could be one of my best friends. Eileen is terrific for inserting “the question or the thought” about how we/society currently sees/feels about something and she initiates the discussion about how might look at it differently. I love this. Sometimes I am thinking these things but haven’t been able to articulate them and other times it is a new thought and really stretches my thinking about something. I hope this makes sense.
Anyway love you guys and the podcast.

  • This was terrific! Thanks to both of you. It is wonderful to hear honesty and a willingness to share your life experiences. (Wonderful listener questions/commentary) I am sure you are writing the book on this. Looking forward to your next podcast or project.

  • I very much enjoy your newsletters, blog, videos and podcasts. You are the reason that I started art journaling many years ago. I had never heard of art journaling before that and then I saw you on TV and found your blog. I so wish I had learned about art journaling years before that because I have gone long periods of not doing anything creative. In my mind it involved a canvas and creating a master piece, which is a lot of pressure, and I just wanted to do something creative and fun without having that pressure, but I didn’t know what. It has been the perfect creative outlet for me and I just wanted to say Thank you for sharing your art. I love your art and have been enjoying creating and growing as an artist in my own right through art journaling. Thank You

  • I love all of your podcasts but I absolutely loved this podcast! I have come to really look forward to listening to these. I also love the wisdom and questions your mother shares as well. I love the authentic, honest sharing. It warms my heart. I find myself occasionally laughing out loud too. I also love your intention as an educator. That is what makes you so effective and long lasting. Sharing many different scenarios that many of us have experienced having art in school. I love that you encourage all forms of art expression, comparing it to cooking is also so interesting. Thank you…thank you!
