I was prowling around Michaels recently and I found some chipboard embellishments in the scrapbooking aisle.  I decided that they'd make great earrings!  Watch the video for the how-to:

Here they are:

If you're looking for information on some of the basic wireworking I do in the video, you can find free videos on creating a wrapped wire loop here and a basic loop here.  For more advanced techniques, please check out The Missing Link by Cindy Wimmer.  It's an excellent book.

I couldn't find the embellishments I used on the Michaels website, but I'm sure you can find something similar if you visit the store!

Thanks for stopping by!

  • Gorgeous Julie! I particularly like the leaves backed with deli paper and then covered with glossy accents – I think that it’s the sort of thing that would translate well to Christmas decorations as well!

  • Hi Julie,
Very nice very nice indeed. I too like the leaf earrings with with the deli paper and glossy accents. All the earring designs were splendid.
Could you have cut these out using chip board with the scan n cut. Maybe not the exact design. I thought you did that when I first saw the intro to the video. One of the leaf designs looks very similar to yours.
I think these would make fabulous quick christmas or birthday gifts. Very nice and thank you for showing us how to do this.
I too have beads and things for making jewelry but I love that little hole puncher. I do not have one of those. This is now on my list of things to do.
Thanks again love the earrings and the video.
