My Father recently had a Western-themed birthday party.
I figured that I therefore needed to make a Western-themed birthday card! And here it is:
I used painted and stamped scrapbook paper to create the boot and text. Here's what the paper looked like before I cut it up:
And here it is, all cut up:
I think the painted paper gives, what could be a very basic card, an artistic lift! It also makes the whole thing much more "Julie." One of the things that I love about my ScanNCut is that there are so many ways to make my projects personal rather than "standard."
For the inside of the card, I created a banner:
I love the way the loose letters look in the card. It's a little bit difficult to capture in photos, but it's a super cool effect in person!
Most importantly, I had a great time celebrating my Dad's birthday with him and my stepmother.

Love it! I would love to buy your art foamie stamp but seem to be afraid of how to use them. It seems so complicated when you demonstrated adding paints to the sponge and seemed to use a lot of paint and a lot to clean up. Please help me clarify or simplify so that I may be more open to make the investment in the stamps. They are certainly very appealing visually. Thanks for sharing.
