As I mentioned yesterday, I went to see the Megacities Asia exhibit at the MFA three times in less than a week. The third time was for a very interesting event. Using their instagram account, the MFA invited fellow instagrammers to apply to be part of an early morning photography session of the exhibit, before the museum was open. I leapt at the opportunity. I thought I'd get some amazing empty museum shots of the exhibits.
In reality, because it was a larger group than I expected and we had to stay together at all times, it was actually more difficult to get a good photo because of all the people crowded around each artwork. C'est la vie. Nonetheless, my brother and I made the best of it and managed to get a number of super cool shots.
As a side note, I was blown away by how many of these instagrammers brought tons and tons of photo equipment. I think a lot of the photos that I — perhaps naively — assume are phone photos are taken with big professional cameras and are very photoshopped. One photographer even brought a model with him (you'll see her in the white jumpsuit) and she was fun to take photos of as she posed with each interactive artwork.
In this round of photos, you'll see some photos of the artwork, but a lot more photos of the experience — lots of people, lots of photographers, lots of photos of me courtesy of my brother, and lots of photos of him too. I hope you enjoy coming along for the ride!

OMGosh….can’t believe we were at the same place in the same week! LOL! I was in Boston for a business dinner with my husband…it’s been over 20 years since I last visited the City. Didn’t get a chance to go down for that part of the museum but wow! TFS 🙂
