As you might imagine, I get a ton of ScanNCut questions.  Unfortunately, I can't answer all of them individually.  But I do try to gather some of the common questions together and create videos that answer them.  Today I'm sharing tips that answer two common questions: how to cut felt with the ScanNCut, and how to delete scans you've saved into the machine.

I hope these videos answered some of your questions.  If you have others, feel free to leave them in the comments section and I'll do my best to create more videos in the future to help you out!

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I am a paid spokesperson for the Brother ScanNCut.  It is a machine that I love and use.  All opinions and projects are my own.

  • Good Morning Julie,
This is terrific many scan n cut tutorials all in one place.
    Thank you for doing this.
I do have a question about embroidery PE files that are used with the brother embroidery machines.
My question is how do you convert any PE file to a FCM file to be used in the brother scanncut?
I did watch a video on the Brother site but it shows a particular software to be used? I do not have that software with my embroidery machine as I do not have a Brother embroidery machine but I do have a singer embroidery machine that reads PE embroidery files.
I also bought an embroidery design disk by Anita Goodesign. They have PE embroidery files on the disk. I would like to use some of these files with my scanncut. Is there away to convert these style files over to FCM files or SVG files?
I have inkscape but I have not tried that yet. Would that be something to use?
Thank you again and look forward to more videos.

  • Julie, I love the Scan ‘n Cut videos. I watch to learn. Now I just need to spend more time on my machine to master it.
One suggestion for a video is the different types of mats and when to use them. I see High Tack, Low Tack, Standard, Fabric, and Scanning mats. Could you explain which mat to use for assorted materials? I know I had a disaster when I used standard copy paper on the Standard mat. Others probably have the same questions.
    Thanks,
    Diane
