It's no secret that stamp carving is one of my great loves. It's something that I really enjoy doing and I'm pleased to say that I've figured out a few cool tricks — most of which you can find in my book Carve Stamp Play. So I was overjoyed to have the opportunity to teach a two-day stamp carving class at Jane Davenport's spot in Australia. We had lots of fun making stamps of all kinds!
Each and every time I teach stamp carving I'm blown away by the unbelievably cool patterns emerge in class. We are each unique artists with a unique point-of-view and it is wonderful to see the creativity and personal expression from each artist in class. Plus, as you can probably tell from the photos, we had a great time! Everyone was friendly and kind and excited to be there! Two days spent eating good food, talking to cool people, and making art? The best kind of weekend!

I have never tried making stamps with rubber and hand carving. I have made lots of stamps with my Scanncut and craft foam. I really love making them. I have the scanncut stamp kit but I have not used it yet. I will be doing it soon as I want to make more stamps for using with acrylic paint.
Love love the pictures love the Big Eye apron. I too use to draw that as a doodle. You have me doing it again Julie. I too will be making a stamp with the Big Eye. I get from it all eyes are upon you!!
