This is a wonderful illustrated comic-book style tale of an excellent art educator. I love what Jimi Herd says about everyone's style of drawing being as different as their handwriting. So true!
Watch this quick animated video. Not only is the animation delightful, but the message is spot on, in my opinion. So often we underestimate ourselves and stop ourselves before the truly creative ideas come. I often tell my students, keep going past the point where you think there are no more ideas. That's where the magic is!

As of the writing of the article, he had been doing it for five years — never missing a single day! I know that every time I've undertaken a daily art task, I've come away a significantly better artist with the ability to make decisions more quickly and get more done in less time!
