Julie Fei-Fan Balzer

Based outside of Boston, Julie Fei-Fan Balzer is a painter, printmaker, and collage artist who constructs vibrant compositions. Her artwork investigates the interplay of identity and perception, inviting viewers to take a longer look. Passionate about connecting with and inspiring other artists, she shares her expertise through in-person workshops and her online classroom at MyArtPractice.com. Julie's achievements include high-profile clients, multiple publications - including her book, β€œCarve Stamp Play” - and exhibits in New York City and throughout Massachusetts. • I love it! Thanks so much for sharing. What are the blue things in the recycled tissue box? How wonderful that you have more space than your last dwelling. Love seeing the studio space and all of your creations around your home. I would love to see or learn how you organize your art stuff. Thanks so much!! Definitely sunny inside.

  • Julie–I love the island in your kitchen. Wish I could have one in our apartment, but I need the table for doing art since the kitchen is my art studio, at least for now.

  • Thanks for the peek at your new digs Julie! Looks like an amazing space and so much larger than what you had. And thank you for posting a pic of an unmade bed. I just don’t think making the bed is a necessary part of ones day. You’re just going to get back in it at night! Ha-ha!

  • OK, I give up–what are those blue things in the box? And did you know that not making your bed right away is healthier–it gives it an airing. Of course, my feeling is that there is no point in making hte bed, as it just gets slept in again, and my bedroom is NOT a showplace by any means!

  • I also would like to know what those blue things are. Looks like they are still wrapped. Maybe stamp pads? But not as we know it?
    Love the arty space.

  • i know the BLUE THINGS are inks. saw someone (Diana Trout???) using them in a video. but i, too, want to know about the SILVER WALL.
julie – thanks for your daily dose of inspiration in my inbox. i really look forward to it each and every day. “what does julie have for us today?” even though i don’t have a scan and cut, i still get something from those postings and don’t get me started on your art journal pages. thanks so much for your “just do it” attitude. you are always so positive. yes, we all have to learn, sometime, or those things we paid for just sit there. we need to use them.
    thanks!
