from the Balzer Designs Blog: Canvas #33

It has been a while since I've posted in my 100 Canvases series.  I finally feel a bit more settled into my place and so the creative muse seems to have come for a visit.

I'm really liking what's happening here and it feels like a slightly new direction for me.  Which is exciting!

  • It looks great! What will you do with your 100 Canvases, do you sell or exhibit them?

  • I’m so drawn to that partial face in upper right corner…
I love a painting that changes according to where you are- the fun graphic details up close almost tell a story too.
    I’m still staring at it… 🙂

  • It does look like an A-HA! version of you, Julie. Love the handheld eye monocle. I don’t think I’ve seen a ‘real’ hand in any of your work before. Stay refreshed and renewed in your new space.

  • More arty, and artsy. I love it! It reminds me of the piece you did for the recent art competition that you won, and I loved that, too!

  • julie, the close ups really show the depth, layers, texture. i have more appreciation for the color & shapes because i can see the details. 🙂 i also like how you showed us where it hangs on your wall, & we can see the scale of the painting in relationship to the chair.
