You guys, I'm giving Art Journal Every Day a little bit of a practical makeover to reflect the current state of the internet. No more flickr pool (that's so 2012) and no more linky list (that's so 2014). Instead, I'll be using and searching the hashtag #artjournaleveryday to share my work and find other people's art journaling. I hope you will too!
If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it.
Earlier this week I did a Periscope livestream of the beginnings of an art journal page. I had fun creating while answering questions. The interaction on Periscope is pretty darn cool and totally intense. I was definitely a, "I don't get why people like Periscope," person just a few weeks ago. Now I'm a fan. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a go. There are so many super talented people out there putting out some really interesting stuff. Plus, if you need to waste a few hours, it's a black hole of time wasting! ;)
I finished up the page I started and so I thought I'd share it today.
I love how it turned out! I really worked without any plan and very little thought. I think some of my best work comes from letting go of control and just doing stuff. Agree or disagree?
If you missed this Periscope, don't worry, I'll be doing more in the future. I don't always know when so it's best to follow me on Periscope so that you'll get a notification whenever I broadcast!

I just can’t take on another social media site. It already takes up too much of my time, so unless you link your videos thru your blog, I probably won’t be visiting periscope.

It’s somewhat different from a planned you-tube lesson but you still managed to pack in loads of tips and tricks. Also it was cool that folks could ask you questions on the fly.
