Stamp Carving

Carving Stamps for Patterning at Scrapbook Centrale

Stamp carving is a very niche interest within the wide world of art and craft.  As a result, I don't often get to teach my stamp carving classes, which makes me a little sad.  Of course, when I do get to geek out and share my love of carving, and especially carving for patterning, I get super duper happy!  Two weekends ago I had the pleasure of teaching my "Carving Stamps for Patterning" class at Scrapbook Centrale in Montreal.

Take a peek at the fun we had:

Here's a peek at the demo stamp I carved in class.  One print in color and one in black and white:

If you're interested in this method of carving, I teach it in my book, Carve Stamp Play.  If you're interested in the basics of stamp carving, you can find it in my book or in my online class, Stamp Carving 101.

Thanks for stopping by!

  • I love to carve, although I’m not very good at it. The pattern stamps are very intriguing. I’ll have to try that very soon. Looks like everyone had a good time and made some very creative new and unique stamps.
