At the end of March I taught a one-day version of my "Make Your Own Junque Journal" class at The Ink Pad here in NYC. It was my first time trying to teach this class in one-day. I made some changes and it all worked out (i.e. people left with beautiful hand made journals) but it definitely felt like a power-packed day of making!
It's always fun to get together with other people who like art and make stuff together! I had a really good time and it motivated me to make some more journals of my own. On Friday I'll share the two new Junque Journals that I made!
Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. In anticipation of some questions:
- You can learn how to make a slightly different style of Junque Journal (different binding technique) in my online class here.
- You can take an in-person class with me this weekend in Montreal at Scrapbook Centrale. That's the last of the teaching gigs I have on the books for this year. As I mentioned before, I'm cutting back on my teaching schedule. It's possible that I'll teach a few classes in the fall, but I'm taking a little break after Montreal. :)
- You can buy a Dirty Girl apron here.
I hope there will be a fall class in NYC! Working in the journal I made in your class. It’s great to be starting with something other than blank page.

What fun and I like the bindings on those. The flower cover is awesome! It seems as if you say your teaching schedule will be cut back and then it looks like you’re teaching somewhere new and exciting. Here’s to some rest (or at least some more time at home).
Cheers.

Have a great workshop in Montréal, Julie. I am sure participants will appreciate you, as I do, reading your blog every single morning of the week. Merci for inspiring me with your beautiful art. I appreciate your communication style (makes me feel like a friend is explaining things to me), your care in putting out information that is understandable, and the beauty of all your work.

Judging from all the happy faces, I’d say you didn’t cut any of the fun!
