This stencil release contains two stencils both have the word "pods" in their names and that are based on designs I originally created using my ScanNCut. I really love prototyping stencils with the ScanNCut. It's super duper easy. And I get to try out my stencils to make sure they're going to be awesome!

I enjoy your recurring pods motif and watching how you work with it. It appears so often in your pieces. I’ve taken the spare bedroom for my studio. It’s crammed with supplies and two tables, not very pretty–certainly not one of those gorgeous studios with elegant touches!–but I love it!

I am fortunate to have a room with two walls of windows for my craft space. It has two Ekornes chairs in it for reading but that’s it. It’s all mine! I have to be careful to store supplies away because of so much sun but the light is great. Thanks for the giveaway. While I do have a dedicated “art cave” in the lower level, it tends to be mostly used for organized supply storage. I like to create at my bedroom desk which is situated in front of a window that overlooks a parkway. Much more inspiring!

I have a few pencils in the family room next to the sofa, I have a table set up in one of the bedrooms, and a notebook in my purse, a journal in my car. Lol! I must have something with me at all times when inspiration strikes. Right?

I’ve picked up the repeating pods stencil in 6×6 and have had fun playing already! I have a small corner in our second bedroom for crafting (and it really is small–I share with house rabbits, hubby’s music gear, and a bookcase 😛 ). It works, though, and I have to keep it cleaned up otherwise I have nowhere to craft!

I carved out a space in the garage for myself for art making. It cracks me up when my family can’t find me. I hear them calling for me in the house, but I never answer. Maybe someday they will learn to check for me there, but for now I enjoy the sneaky solitude. Lol!

I carved out a space in the garage for myself for art making. It cracks me up when my family can’t find me. I hear them calling for me in the house, but I never answer. Maybe someday they will learn to check for me there, but for now I enjoy the sneaky solitude. Lol!
Love these new designs! I create everywhere. Most of my stuff lives in the sun room, but I often take it downstairs in the evening to the family room to catch up on/watch shows. Messy stuff usually occurs in the kitchen.

My studio is half of our family room. I have two tables, one for sewing and one for messy paper play, and lots of drawers, all from IKEA. There are big windows to watch the deer and birds all around us, I love it.

Do all of the above count? I have my own room/studio/office where lots of my art is created. But sometimes I end up working on the floor there or on the floor in the living room. I’m overflowing with supplies but my large 60″x30″ desktop (covered with sheets of butcher paper & craft mats) gives me plenty of room to work on art.

I have a small bedroom that I revamped into an office/art room. I create most of my art on a 30″x60″ desktop covered with butcher paper that I reuse as collage paper when it gets covered with paint/sprays.

I have a table and 2 desks squeezed into the basement laundry room to work on. When I need a longer space, there is the massage table in the basement workout area. Then of course the kitchen table gets a lot of artsy use as does the coffee table. For quilting and sewing, I make use of my girls former sitting room and then I use their bedroom floor to lay out patterns or baste quilts. My husband thinks the house is too big for just the two of us. I say no way! I could really use a long arm quilting machine and would love to get into paper making. You can always use more spce!!!
I have a table and 2 desks squeezed into the basement laundry room to work on. When I need a longer space, there is the massage table in the basement workout area. Then of course the kitchen table gets a lot of artsy use as does the coffee table. For quilting and sewing, I make use of my girls former sitting room and then I use their bedroom floor to lay out patterns or baste quilts. My husband thinks the house is too big for just the two of us. I say no way! I could really use a long arm quilting machine and would love to get into paper making. You can always use more spce!!!

I’ve been moving every year for the past five years or so and sometimes I get a space and sometimes not. Right now I have about half of our home office as a dedicated art space. I have a little desk to myself, but I still find myself sitting on the floor to paint a lot!

It’s a bit hard because I have a little baby so everytime I can, I make some art : waiting for the doctor (or the vet for my cats), during lunchtime at work… But what I prefer is sitting at the table, in the middle the main room, at night, when everything is still and quiet. I can then have moments ‘just for me’ and let my imagination flow allover my pages.

Love the stencils Julie and the way you bring your layouts to life! I also have a kitchen table studio. Most of my work is done in small trays, cutting mats and shoe-box lids for easy removal at meal times and then back on the table again when dishes are done!

It probably sounds awful, but I have a windowless room in my basement where I craft. I love it! It’s perfect because it’s far away from distractions, it has a door and it’s mine – all mine!

Thank you for showing how you designed the pods stencils. I think it opens up many possibilities for us to play as well. I create in many places: mostly on my table in my bedroom but also in the office, on the bus, waiting in the metro stop and so on. At home i have more space to organize my art and craft supplies. But i also carry some material to mobilize my artsy activities.

Those stamp images, which I have seen in prior posts, never cease to amaze me! You are SO talented. I am really blessed in that I have a room that is my office and craft room. A neighbor helped me build a table that is 6′ long and tall enough so I can stand and craft and I love it! It’s my ‘girl cave’ and my family always knows where to find me 🙂

I love all of your stencils and I have read your new book several times! I create on my kitchen table and store most of my “stuff” on my dining room table. I have a drafting table upstairs where I sometimes work, but my cat usually claims the chair before I can get there. Wish I had a dedicated space that I didn’t have to clean before everyone wants dinner!

I just ordered both of these stencils!!’ OK, along with some more. I have a huge stencil collection and I love it. I have an entire craft room but don’t create in it. It’s too messy, unorganized and/or too small!! So I create in the breakfast nook on an artists desk I convinced my husband to buy for me. Unfortunately it spills over to the dining table at times. Also, my stencil collection, as well as all my paints, stamps are located in the nook also. This way I am in the same room with my husband when he is on his computer or watching tv shows I don’t particularly want to see. It’s a win/win.

I love it because I get a lot of natural light in the living part of the duplex from the two windows in the living room. I create art in my dining room. I converted it into my art studio. I even have an old super big office computer desk (one piece) complete with drawers at each end that I use as my art table. It’s awesome because you can sit on either side of it and create art and your feet can go beneath the desk. I love it. I would love, love, love to win one of your stencils. 🙂

Beautiful stencils! My workspace, much to my husband’s disgust, is on our custom made bar table in our rumpus room. I work here so I can be next to him and not in a different room!

I usually craft in my craft room, formerly known as the study – a misnomer if ever there was one! However it is also the room where my grandson sleeps when he comes to stay, & he is coming tomorrow. So the craft table has been moved into the kitchen & his bed made up. I think my granddaughter & I will probably be doing some craft in the kitchen over the next few days”!

If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get to partner up with Crafter’s workshop to do your stencils? I have manufactured my own stamp line before but would love to do stencils too. I have a dedicated craft room but my work surfaces are the bottom of a shelving unit against the wall & I find I don’t like working up against the wall. Also I have light carpet on the floor in there and the room is very crowded. So most often I move to my kitchen table to create out in the open over an easier to clean tile floor. My favorite place to work is on my patio table – but I’m a lot more limited what I can work on out there what with the possibility of dust, breezes, & needing to be able to pack up in a hurry if it starts to rain.
