In January I taught my two-day workshop, Magazine Magic!
We had a ton of fun ripping apart magazines and turning them into all sorts of things!
The bad news is that once you know all the amazing things you can do with magazines, you can never ever throw another magazine away! Eeek! (This is my excuse for being a hoarder. Hee Hee!)

Your classes look absolutely amazing – however… I think you should look up Bucks County PA and teach a class here!!!! I would be willing to help you orchestrate where and there are too many wonderful places to choose from. It is the county with the “Covered bridges” and New Hope and Rices flea market and so many wonderful things – I bet you and your mom would love to come and explore!!!! Truly a one of a kind place!!!! PLEASE????? PLEASE?????? Did I say PLEASE?

Oh, my goodness! I don’t know when I have been soooo excited! Julie make this into some sort of on-line course or something, I wanna to do this. Will try out some of the ideas on my own, but the whole class would be even better!

Looks like it was a fun class. I especially like the stencils of the people in action with one bright color surrounding them. Magazines are fun and I’ve started to go through and pull out the few images that I think that I’ll use and recycle the rest of the mag so that I don’t totally drive my hubby cray cray with stuff everywhere.

Julie, I found a book at a yard sale called “Lessons in Lipgloss and Happiness” by Thalia. It has tons of pictures of women’s faces and shows how to apply make up. I have been using this book like a magazine and tracing, or copying and changing the images for my journals. It is also great for showing where to add highlights to faces. I found the book used very inexpensively on Amazon as well. It comes printed in Spanish and English. I have both copies, as I frequently use some of the phrses in spanish just as writing filler for journaling.
