I'm a sucker for packaging.  I may or may not buy things based on the cuteness of the packaging….I'm just saying!  Cuteness is one thing, but usefulness is even more awesome!

I recently received some Prismacolor Premier Markers in the coolest case ever!

Case

As you can see, there's a handle for easy carrying…

…and then it looks like this when unzipped and opened:

But it's this little toggle thing that makes this case wicked cool!

You see, if you pull the string and move the toggle along, the case stands up by itself creating a kind of easel of markers!

Pretty cool, right?!  Super useful packaging/case.  I love it!

The markers themselves are pretty cool too.  I've been using a lot of markers in my art journal lately and these alcohol ink markers are great because they go on top of paint without any issues.  Because I tend to cover large areas in my art journal, I've been leaning towards brush tip markers, so these bad boys fit right in!

Thanks for stopping by!

  • I know I know two comments in one day…Have you tried to put any of your other markers in? Do they fit? which ones – what kind? Could I say, carry some Copics and some Pitt pens along with a few Prismacolor?

  • well, two comments from me too. I got so excited I didn’t read the entire post or look at the links. I love that the case is available separate because I already have some of these markers. and the price here is great, half of Ms (5.99) and bookoos more colors, only about 20-25 colors at Ms. this reminded me I have been wanting new colors. you are an enabler, hehehe.

  • OK Julie, which set of 24 markers did you purchase? I could afford a set of 24 with the accompanying case for $46.79. I am assuming you purchased a set? Or, did you buy 24 markers? I see you can purchase the case separately for $14.75. I love Dick Blick:)

  • What a great case for my absolutely favorite markers! I never got on the Copic marker wagon because of my relationship with Prismacolor. I wish Prismacolor packaged their “blender, marker we each of their sets so that everyone had the chance to experience Prismacolor’s outstanding blending applications.
The best part of Prismacolor markers is their price. When compared to the cost of Copic markers, Prismacolor markers offer superior blending applications at just a fraction of the price. Also, Prismacolor markers, if stored properly, have a great shelf life. I had a particular set of markers that I used almost on a daily basis both for personal use and in an educational setting, and the markers stayed vibrant and flowing for well over three years. The key is their clear, blender marker! Make sure to purchase one of these remarkable little beauties today and try using it with any of your other alcohol marker sets. I promise that you too will be hooked for life.
Thanks Julie for allowing me to share my knowledge on this brand. I have to confess that when I saw that you were using Prismacolor markers, I was so excited to think that I was using a product that was in your studio too!
Yes, I am a loyal follower of all things Julie! 🙂
