For my first canvas of 2014, I painted over this abstract:

And it evolved into this:
It's collage and stenciling and painting all mixed together and I love it! It's a more sophisticated version of some work I've previously done. I'm happy to see that I continue to evolve. I hope I always keep evolving and changing as an artist!
Here the painting is, hanging in my apartment (ignore the mess, please):
It's a large-ish canvas: 30×30 and so the face is larger than real life and I think that makes it quite powerful. The size is something that just doesn't translate through photos. Texture too. All the collage (Gelli printed deli paper, by the way) also gives the piece so much visual texture and that just doesn't translate the photos. Guess you'll all have to come over and see it in person. ;)

I love how you used all the Balzer Bits!!! That is amazing, the detail it’s like one of those works of art that every time you look at it you see something different, something now. Awesome. As for the photos they are too cute, but #5 is THE.BEST, you look maaahhhvelous!
