I've got some pages from November to show you. Eeek! November! I can't believe I've got such a backlog of art journal pages to show you. Let me know what catches your eye!
As I've mentioned before, I'm trying to push away from "pretty" faces.
My go-to white pen is the water-based extra fine point Sharpie.
You can see that the base of this page is a file folder — you can just see the tab from the folder. I love working on all kinds of different surfaces.
You can see that I inserted a patterned transparency into my art journal. It acts as a very pretty divider between the two halves of the art journal spread.
I often like to include markers of the year in my journal in some way. You can see here that I simply lettered out "Daylight Savings." A quick glance at the page and I immediately know when I created it.
This is one of my favorite things to do these days — created pretty patterned circles and then journal all around them.
That's the "Days of the Week" Balzer Bit.
I usually stamp the day of the week, but it's hard to do it around the curve, so I went for some block lettering instead.
The painted patterns were something I did a while ago and then bound into my junque journal, but you'd never guess it looking at this spread now.
There's my "year of yes" stamp making an appearance. I used markers to color in the background and then that white Sharpie to create a shadow.
The letters were stamped with a set of hand carved alphbet stamps and then colored with markers. I'm really loving markers lately.
