It was snowing here in NYC and rather than complaining about the weather, I decided to be inspired by it! And so I carved three snowflake stamps.
Like real snowflakes, each one is just a little bit different.
With any image, I think it's nice to have the versatility of different sizes (one of the reasons I love having both 6×6 and 12×12 stencils with the same design). The largest stamp started as a 3-inch square. The smallest one started as a 1.25-inch square.

Though it’s cold and wet and messy and inconvenient, it certainly provides a beautiful blanket around us. 🙂 Another thought … I am continually amazed knowing when I watch the snow fall and I see thousands of flakes, that no two are exactly alike … wow!

Just this weekend I attended a remembrance mass where the funeral home gave each family a snowflake ornament and pin, a token to remember our loved one and a reminder that we are all beautiful and unique as a snowflake. My stepmother received the tokens and I thought I would collect a few snowflake items but now I’m thinking I will create my own. Thanks for the inspiration! (PS – Perfect timing too!)
