As I've mentioned before, Brother is releasing a very exciting brand new cutting machine in October, called the Scan N Cut.
One of my favorite uses for the machine is to cut my own stencils! Here's a peek at two tags I decorated with stencils I cut using the Scan N Cut:
Remember, there's no computer to hook it up to and it can cut through all sorts of materials! I'll be sharing some in depth how-tos very soon! In the meantime, if you'd like to know exactly when the machine will be available and all about it, you sign-up for the Scan N Cut mailing list right here.

With a 4-500 dollar price tag, my question concerns the mats and blades. How long does a blade last? How pricey are the mats and so they last? You said you cut through one, is it self healing?
