Today I thought I'd share a quick video with you where I prep a page in my art journal. As you know, I work in a junque journal full of lots of different papers. When I art journal, I don't always have a goal in mind. I just play and see what happens. You can watch my winding journey in the video:

I think it's important to simply play when you open your art journal. Don't try to make art, just have a good time.

I like to make my own journal too but then don’t give myself the time to play in it. I think I’m giving myself that 21 secret class. I worked on in an old journal yesterday and remembered how much I learn from just playing.

Great video. I guess that I consider art journals and junque journals as two different types of journaling. I consider a junque journal to be carefree and fun. I consider an art journal to be more like a traditional journal or diary, but with the emphasis on visual elements rather than text.
