The very first class I taught at the CREATE Mixed Media retreat in New Jersey was Painted & Printed Papers. We had a ton of fun making a huge painty mess. Grab a cup of coffee and check out all of the pretty patterns and colors!

I would so love that class! I certainly had a blast at the class that I took at A.E. where we used the deli paper to make designs. I bet the purple face caught your eye Julie. I’m loving the purple/pink geometric paper that the woman with the nice silver ring is holding.

To print the papers, did you just lay them on a copy machine? The artists did such a fabulous job with color and texture! I’m impressed and can’t wait to play!

Looks like it was tons of fun! I wish you could come to Albuquerque and teach some classes!!! One thing I also want to learn from you is how you do your faces in so many colors! I know how to sketch and paint them with regular but I love how you make your faces your own with all of those colors!

I would absolutely love to go to a class like that! Im currently making homemade stencils for my gelli plate and this has given me even more ideas to process in my already exploding head. Craft foam on my shopping list now. 🙂

Ok, I love the printing over text and sheet music. The paints look transparent — what type of paints were used? They look like they might be acrylic, but with some kind of medium mixed in for transparency.
