I brought my handy dandy travel watercolor kit with me on this last adventure. I had some flight delays, so it came in handy for entertaining myself. I spent the time sketching the people I saw.
I don't consider myself to be a talented sketcher, so I'm always shy about sketching in public and try hard to avoid the prying eyes of those around me. I'm also super nervous about getting caught by the subject of my drawings. So I do a lot of sketching of people who are on their phone or sleeping. I usually start out each sketch convinced that there's no way I'll be able to capture what I see. And then I'm (usually) pleasantly surprised by the outcome. It's a lesson summed up best by the following quote:

I really enjoyed seeing your airport sketches and what a GREAT way to pass the time! I’d be nervous about “getting caught” too. Hope all the travel isn’t wearing you out too much.

I love your paintings! I feel exactly the same way about painting people, if someone ‘accidentally’ catches my eye while I’m drawing them I end up glancing this way and that like a numpty to try and throw them off the trail! Silly, huh?
