There's so much prep that goes into a very short end result. I'm talking about Scrapbook Soup TV today.
The segments are each about 6 minutes long. In order to do those six minutes, there's all the prep we talked about yesterday. And then when you get to the studio, there's makeup…

And wardrobe…

Yep, they're all wearing blue. With a pink set, it's a good choice for on-camera!
I had a little shirt problem — mine was too big, so they safety pinned two big darts in the back. But I don't think you could tell from the front!
There's also a mic to put on.

And I have an ear piece to wear as well.
There's lots of prep work that goes into setting up the table "just right."
Producer, Kathie Stull, cameraman, Mike, and Paula from Purple Cow.
And then there are all the logistics to go over with the floor director.

Not to mention the run through that I do with each guest, the producer, the director, etc.
And everyone pitches in with touching up makeup. (All those lights get awfully sweaty.)

And our two on set Moms, Patsy & Katherine, take care of feeding us and making sure that everything runs smoothly.
And finally, your project is all set and you are ready to rock!
And then it's off and running through six minutes that go really quickly!

Thanks for sharing. It’s really interesting to read the behind the scenes stuff that you never see. But now I’m curious… how do I actually get to see the show? I have no idea if it airs on TV or internet or if you buy the episodes. Now that I’ve read about the backstage stuff, I want to see how the 6 mins turned out!
