Love this! The third tape you used, Julie, lookd brown .. like paper bag/Kraft paper. Can you get this kind of packing tape? Not sure I’ve ever seen it,although I haven’t bought paking tape in a while, so maybe I just haven’t noticed. (I live in Canada)

I just tried this same technique myself. It was easy and fun and created great looking strips. I haven’t yet figured out what I will do with mine so I can’t wait to see what you do with yours.

Love the look of the paint under the tape. It’s a great way to clean off a gelli plate, too. Then because you will still have open sticky spots lay it on text or aluminum foil and burnish. Fun!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but unfortunately, this technique, although at first it renders awesome results, in time the tape warps. Thats not my experience. Ive used the tape and its fine several years later. I suspect what kind of packing tape you use really matters. 🙂

Thats not my experience. Ive used the tape and its fine several years later. I suspect what kind of packing tape you use really matters. 🙂
