If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here. All of the previous posts can be found archived here. There is a flickr group for sharing right here. Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day! No need to finish anything or even like it. If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post. Thanks!
Today I'm sharing some of my daily pages from my art journal. I don't believe any of these have been posted on the blog before. The earliest pages are from all the way back in November 2012! I guess it has been a while since I've shared my dailies!
The be-YOU-tiful was inspired by several versions of it that I saw on Pinterest.
The wheel of men is a photo that I loved from the New York Times. I simply cut it out and pasted it into my journal.
I continue my quest to get past "pretty" faces and go for interesting ones with personality.
Triangles are a current favorite of mine. This is a motif that I've been repeating a lot lately.
A lot of scrapbook paper finds its way into my journals. This is another one of my Junque Journals. I never would have liked that super cutesy "growing" with the birds on a scrapbook page, but I looooove it here in my journal. Isn't that odd?
So that brings us to February. You'll have to come back next week to see the more recent pages! 😉
Here is this week's linky list:
Thanks for stopping by!

I really admire your faces Julie. With the bold black strokes and coloration, you create such interest and command attention. Thanks as always for all the inspiration you so freely give.

I’ve been loving banners again. TFS your art journal Julie.
It’s amazing how your faces have changed in just a year or so of your posting them.

Always a treat to see your dailies. 🙂 The gesso’d over paper to bring out the triangle motif is great, and a good reminder to me to not always feel the answer is to add, add, add. Sometimes the genius lies in taking away.
