ArtJournalEveryDayLogo-150If you're new to Art Journal Every Day, there is a short introduction here.  All of the previous posts can be found archived here.  There is a flickr group for sharing right here.  Remember, it's just ten minutes of nourishing your creative self every day!  No need to finish anything or even like it.  If you've done some art journaling this week and you've blogged about it, or put it on flickr, please leave a link in the linky list at the end of this post.  Thanks!

I have been continuing to work with my "Art Journal Every Day: December" kit from Cocoa Daisy.  There's something nice about being limited by what's in the kit.  Every day I just grab my bag of "stuff" and make something with it.  It pushes me to be inventive and just do it, instead of overthinking the whole thing.

Here are my daily pages (all of the pages are 6×6):

Day014-wm
Day014-wm
Day014-wm
Day014-wm
Day014-wm
Day014-wm
Day014-wm
Lots of duality in these pages with negatives and postives, two halves of the same image being used.  It's part of working with a particular set of supplies.

Here is this week's linky list:

Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. I want to congratulate fellow crafty blogger Rachel Yang on winning the Washington Post's Holiday Crafts Contest!  I am flattered and grateful for her mention of me as a source of inspiration.  It's not often that I get woken up by a phone call from a friend shrieking, "Your name is in the paper!"  :)

  • I like what you did with the collage on the 15th. Not over-thinking would be good for me too. I never thought about how limiting supplies can help achieve this. Cool.

  • I know you have told us before, but what white pen or ink do you use for your white letters on your pages?

  • It’s fun looking at your journaling.
Last night, I bought your new art lesson from Cloth Paper Scissors. Great idea, having little lessons for individual sale.
    Happy Holidays!
