Ruin & Rescue at The Ink Pad

I am delighted to be returning to teach at The Ink Pad here in NYC.  This is the last East Coast class I will be teaching for about a year.

Ruin and Rescue
an all day art journaling workshop

Over the years I have learned that my art journal is a great place for artistic experiments.  It’s all about ruin and rescue.  By discovering that virtually all “mistakes” could be “fixed,” I gained confidence and lost the fear of ruining my artwork.  Come and spend the day learning a panoply of techniques for layering, collaging, doodling, and creating wonderful new things from the ashes of old projects.

  • I wish I could be there! I love the idea of “ruin and rescue” 🙂 I have a challenge on my art journaling blog, along these lines. Someone in one of my classes, “ruined” her page – you can see the picture on my blog. I thought it was a fantastic “disaster”, but she didn’t, so I uploaded the photo as a challenge, asking people how they would continue it. The post is here: http://www.yomanihayakar.co.il/?p=484

  • Aw lady, you’re killin’ me!
A class with you (such an inspiration) and at The Ink Pad (my favorite stop on trips to NY). Why oh why can’t I be visiting NY while you’re teaching this class?!
OK, if I win the lotto this weekend, I’m catchin’ a flight. Deal? 😉
