You can bring any other colors you have as well), at least 12 manila shipping tags, Teflon Craft Sheet, heat gun, spray bottle of water, Ranger Ink Blending Tool, Ranger Blending Foam (6-12 pieces), scissors, favorite stamp(s), favorite punch(es), low-tack tape, patterned paper

Layered Images: A Stamp Carving Workshop

PoppyPrints-sm
In this workshop you will learn the basics of how to carve stamps.  You’ll learn how to transfer an image to your carving block, tips and tricks for masterful carving, and some helpful hints about using inks and paints with your stamps.  But the real star of the parade of techniques is that you will learn how to create multiple layered stamps of the same image for a screen-printed look!  This is a fun and easy class.  You’ll be blown away by what you can create in just a few hours!

Students Should Bring: Speedy-Carve: at least two 6×12 blocks (It is important that it not be Speedy-Cut, you want the pink Speedy-Carve), linoleum cutters, glass mat or self-healing mat, white copy paper, pencil and pencil sharpener (no mechanical pencils), Sharpie or marker, 3-5 different colored ballpoint pens, box cutter, metal edge ruler, paper or fabric to print on, StazOn stamping ink in several colors

Optional (if you don’t want to draw your own image): clip art

  • Hi Julie, I am taking your layered images class and am so excited!! I have a question for you,
what is the journal you were using for all of your fast forward videos last week? Just wondering what you recommend for using the wet media?

  • Hi Julie!
Your Distress Ink class looks amazing. Any chance of it becoming an online class? I’m working through your Technique-a-Palooza and am almost half finished. I’m really enjoying it!!! I’ve never worked through an online class of this type so quickly. One of the few I intend to follow through til the end. Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing your discoveries with us.

  • Hi, Julie! I can’t go to Costa Mesa, but your Layered Images technique looks FABULOUS. Wish I could learn how to do that. If you ever offer it as an online course, I would sign up in a minute!
