We celebrated Passover by having a whole bunch of our friends over for a big Passover seder!
(By the way, looking at this picture I had to laugh. I can see some boxes that *still* haven't been unpacked from our move almost two years ago!)
I got a little crafty with the place settings:
Patterned Paper placemat, napkin ring made from patterned paper, paper flower, and a fabric leaf…
…and of course adorable quilted placecards!
And of course, I love the beautiful banners hanging from the ceiling, along with some "Plague Finger Puppets" dangling in the middle!
But I have to give my Mom credit for the best crafty idea of the day! We couldn't find the candlesticks, so she made these:
Hollowed out some apples and voila! Really cool candlesticks!
When all of our guests had gone home, we put them in the sink to burn down overnight.
I thought they were spectacularly cool!

Yeah to Mom for her creativity! I’m surprised to see that she’s not taking in the sports on the TV. Or is she only a huge football fan?

Beautiful! Perfection once those tables are filled with food and family and friends! Love the candle holders; artichokes make really cool ones, too! And the plague finger puppets??? Hysterical!!!

After pouring over your site, I am starting to realize I sort of already am an art journaler… just have to get in the habit of doing it more regularly. Everything you created for your Passover celebration is truly awesome. It seems over the past few years I have not been as creative when entertaining as I used to be. I think I became discouraged when so many of the guests did not appreciate what I had done. What I do remember is that the children always loved what I made. I do believe I shall resume adding my creative touches so that my grandchildren can enjoy the special place cards and decorations made just for them. I really love your place cards and just may borrow the idea.
