I know I can't stop talking about the weather here in Phoenix, but oh wow, it's just gorgeous! Perfect weather. Love it!
My day began setting up the booth for Crafter's Workshop. I'm here to demo their stencils for two days during NAMTA's Art Materials World show.

After a hard day's work, the lovely and very talented Dina Wakley came and picked us up!
She shared some amazing pizza…
…and whisked us off to the Creative Quest, a store in Glendale, AZ.
What a gorgeous store! Filled with the most beautiful things (I did *have* to buy a few things)! How I wish I were local! I would take every bookbinding class Kathie has to offer!
As luck would have it, we happened to be visiting on a day that the store was hosting a mixed media meetup. So many very talented girls were there! I missed taking photos of an entire table of four ladies (and some gorgeous sketchbooks and other projects), but here are some friendly faces:

It was lots of fun to spend a few hours painting…
…and I got to watch Dina do her thing:

Even if you are 100% sure that you can’t draw, come and learn how wonderfully fast and easy it is to create a mixed media painting. I’ll share tips and techniques for awesome texture, bright colors, easy shading, and fantastic results! I will share my fun and zany method for working on 2-3 different canvases at the same time (depending on how quickly you like to work)!

Looks like sooo much fun! our family took a vacation to Phoenix and Tucson last April and loooooved the weather! want to visit again soon.

Didn’t you just recently post a list of your favorite must have art journaling tools? I have looked for the post I thought I saw but can’t find it. It listed some pens and stuff. Not the list of stuff in your travel pouch. I would like to find that list if it was you who posted it and I am pretty sure it was.
