Today (Monday, January 17 at 8pm EST) I will be teaching the following FREE online class for Live With Prima:

Stamped ATCs

Artist Trading Cards, commonly known as ATCs, are a fun way to create and trade little works of art with friends or strangers around the world!  Measuring just 2.5×3.5" these mini works of art are a great place to experiment!  They can also be used to embellish a scrapbook page or on the front of a blank card!  Join Julie as she takes you step-by-step through the process of making several unique ATCs using Prima's fabulous stamps.  Whether you're an accomplished stamper or brand new, you're sure to discover some awesome new ideas on how to use your Prima stamps!

If you've never been to a Live with Prima class, here's the deal:

  • There is a virtual classroom where you can see my on LIVE video feed teaching the project.
  • In the virtual classroom you can chat via typed messages with the other students.  It's usually a pretty silly and raucous bunch!
  • You can also ask me questions via typed messages and I'll answer them as I teach the class!
  • You have a chance to win a Prima prize package!

Sounds like fun, right?

Hope you'll join me!  Here's an international time zone translator to help make sure you can make it!

Timezone-Jan17-8pm
Thanks for stopping by!

P.S.How's the art journaling going?  I'm working for a few minutes every day!

Artjournal-chevron-close
If you've fallen off the bandwagon, or haven't even started, don't worry!  Just grab your journal and start scribbling.  Remember, perfection is overrated.  I love lopsided, don't you?

P.P.S. On Saturday I tweeted an idea for a one minute journal exercise.   And in response Trish said, "Sometimes its just doing that first little step to get you going!"  I totally agree.  So this week I'll be tweeting a quick art journal idea every day!

If you want to catch the prompts, you have three choices:

  1. Follow me on Twitter.
  2. "Like" me on Facebook.  (My Twitter feed automatically goes to my Facebook wall.)
  3. Visit my blog and check out the Twitter feed on the right side.

Whew.  All this technology!  I'm having fun exploring what's appropriate for each space.  I find that I'm posting pictures of projcts-in-progress and random thoughts on Twitter and Facebook, where this blog is reserved for more finished ideas and projects.  How about you?  How do you balance all that social media?

  • I haven’t been doing it everyday, but I have been doing it most days and for more than 10m but I haven’t finished a page . 2 things. I am LOVING IT and I am drawing (well if you can call it that) and coloring with watercolor pencils. I have put together a to go ziplock back. It isn’t so convenient to carry, but I am at least carrying. Thanks so much for getting this started Julie.

  • Huh, that’s 2am my time. I was planning to work, but not till 2am, so I’m going to skip the lesson. I’ve been making some ATCs on my own though, I have to post them on the blog. I’ll take that minute and divide a page with tape now, I need a break. I’ve been journaling every day but last Saturday, two concerts with the orchestra were more than enough to keep me busy well into the night. I found out that I rarely stop after 10 minutes, I just procrastinate with my journal on my lap in the evening. Let’s see how long I can keep it up, the next AJED post is scheduled for Friday as usually. Have fun with the lesson!! Kitty

  • Cathy:  You can leave a link to your post in the comments section of any of the Friday Art Journal Every Day posts.  Thats where most people seem to be leaving them.  Also, theres a message board in the flickr group and you could leave a link there if you wanted to!  Glad youre playing along!

  • Your ATC cards look wonderful! I have a sick little boy and some projects I needed to finish up on so I couldn’t make the class. But I’ll keep a look out for more!
I’ve been working on my journal daily. Not that I’ve actually completed a page, but I’m enjoying putting it all together and gathering ideas and goodies to put in it! I started following your tweets and I’m excited about the daily ideas!
As for how I keep it balanced….I didn’t know I was suppose too! Probably why I’ve not blogged in over a year and a half!!!!!heehee As always thanks for the inspiration!
