I wanted to share a couple layouts I created in November for Prima and just forgot to share!
I used a journaling card to mat the photo.
Those pennants are so easy to make. I'm kind of addicted! Just cut a rectangle and then cut a triangle from the bottom. Et voila!
I stitched the flowers and pennants into some long banners. I added the rhinestones and white flowers after the banners were adhered to the layout.
This is a very "un-me" layout. But I love it! I was going to add paint or mess but it was "just right" as is, so I decided to leave it alone.
The black letters got inlined with a gold pen. I moved them so many times that I exhausted the adhesive. So I ended up stitching them down to ensure that they stayed put!
I had fun cutting the pieces to make the menorah and the Christmas tree. I used black thread and the free motion foot on my sewing machine to create the strong outline. And who can resist a colorful paper ruffle? Not me!
I feel like I've been using a lot of white cardstock backgrounds — which always kind of feels like a cheat to me. Too easy to make everything look great. And I like a challenge! But here it is, nonetheless.
I don't know what they make those butterflies from — it's almost like stretched pantyhose or something — but I love the way they look. And because they're wired you can adjust them in so many ways!
I have had these green flowers in my stash forever and could not figure out what the heck to do with them…untill now! I layered two flowers, added a pearl and I think they set off the browns of the tags really well!
I airbrushed the leaves on the white cardstock using a Prima stencil and the Copic airbrush system.
Kind of a varied group of layouts, huh? But one of the things that I like about Prima product is that it works for a variety of styles and subjects. I know that a lot of people think of Prima as just being pretty flowery projects, but I always try to show how to make it a little more grungy and artsy!
I'm busy working on some Prima projects for CHA. Lots of new stuff from Prima, including some really good surprises! Can't wait until it's okay to share! (Though I did share a tiny peek of what I'm working on on my facebook page!)
Thanks for stopping by!
Julie…LOVE these! The white backgrounds really make these pop. Such an inspiration…Thanks!

Thanks for sharing such a varied group of layouts. There is something for everyone here. I must say that I particularly like the green one. Something about green and orange is so inviting. Almost feels like SPRING on a page. Penny

Hey Julie,
Love your lay-outs (as always :-D)! I have a question: did you make the alphabet for the Chrismukkah page yourself or did you use an existing set of stickers?

I love the airbrushed leaves and all the green on the last layout. It is so unusual and works so well. Great use of the green flowers, I finally used mine and was really pleased with myself, too!
