Hello, hello, hello!

Pencil Lines was sponsored by Prima this week.  Here's the sketch:

And here's my layout:

I'm circle obsessed lately.  Even when I try to not do a circle, I always seem to end up with one!

Take a peek at some of the details from this layout:

UpstateDetail1-sm
I cut a wonky circle out of patterned paper, glued it to another piece of patterned paper and then painted a circle of acrylic paint where the two papers met.  This is one of my favorite techniques for blending disparate patterned papers.  Once the paint was dry, I wrote right over it with a Sakura Pigma Micron.

The butterflies were all cut from a piece of patterned paper.  I used a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen to add the glitter.  I used my cursive typewriter to type up the journaling strip on the photo.

Again I used the glue pen here to draw the flowers and then glittered them.  I used a mixture of fine glitter and this cool chunkier glitter that looks like little circles.  It really reflects the light and gives a much stronger than usual "bling" effect.

You can see the rest of the layouts here.  And there is a Prima prize package up for grabs for those who play along!

Thanks for stopping by!

  • Funny…I looked at the sketch and thought “it’s not inspiring me” and then scrolled down and saw this most amazing LO. Love it! The chunkier glitter has a cool look.
