Every month, Prima's talented sketch artist Anam Stubbington draws up a beautiful page sketch.  The design team is asked to create something based on the sketch and then the challenge is opened to the community.

"Let's see what you can do with this fab sketch! You have until November 25th to upload any project to our CONTEST Gallery based on this design.
PLEASE remember: all uploads MUST be Prima-based. We cannot showcase
other manufacturer's products. The size of the file uploading must be
smaller than 150 kb. The winner will be featured right here on
the blog after December 1st, 2009."

Here is this month's sketch:

Check out all the beautiful interpretations on the Prima blog.

As for me, this sketch gave me some trouble. Two-pagers almost always do!   So, I've got two versions to share with you:

TheTexturesofPhiladelphia-sm
TheTexturesofPhiladelphia-sm
I'm a little stuck as to which version I like better.  In the end, I'm glad I went with version #2.  I think has more impact.  What do you think?  Which one do you like better?

  • I like the one with the yellow bottom better. It makes the font stand out more in the title. Great LO

  • The title stands out more in the second one for sure. I went back and forth and decided that the second one attracts my eye more with the bright bottom. At first I thought that it detracted from the pics but then decided that it pulls it all together. Interesting when you share two versions.

  • Both are great, but I definitely like #2 the best. Your title is more distinctive and I love what you did to the bottom of the page.
