The Scrapbooking Products That I Use

ProductCollage

Portrait Bug recently asked each of the design team members to send on a list of the products they tend to use a lot.  I thought it would be a fun thing to share!

I use these products on 85% of my layouts:

Uniball Signo white gel pen
Sakura Pigma Micron black pens (for journaling and doodling)
Gesso (any brand, but I love Pro Art or Golden best)
Making Memories paint (quick drying time and super selection of colors)
Ranger Distress Ink
– Scotch ATG gun
Zig two way glue pen
Glue Dots
Bazzill *textured* cardstock (I use black and white more than any other color)
Cutterbee Scissors and Tweezers

Love and use often:

– Foam Adhesive (any brand, but I like EK Success)
– Buttons (any brand, but I like Autumn Leaves’ unusual shapes and sizes)
American Crafts Slick Writer (in both widths and in black) – I really like this pen on slick surfaces, but *hate* it on cardstock
Zig Writer (in black in particular)
Heidi Swapp Rhinestones (clear only)
– Tattered Angels’ Glimmer Mist (and I love their new Glimmer Mist
stencils called “Glimmer Screens”)
Scotch Removable Adhesive
– Embroidery Floss (any brand is fine, but DMC is the easiest to find)
Clear Embossing Powder (any brand is fine)
UTEE
Versamark Watermark Ink Pad

There are a host of other supplies that I really like, but these are the things that I cannot live without!

Finally, I received this award:

BrillanteAward

from two different people yesterday!  Very flattering.  So, thanks to “Sweet Pete” and Lily for thinking of me!  Now, I’m supposed to nominate seven more people and pass it on.  But, I thought I’d switch it up a bit.  Since I’m in a “product” based mood, here are seven Etsy shops that you should check out (For those who don’t know what Etsy is, it’s an online marketplace for artists to sell their handmade goods.  I don’t know any of these people, I just stumbled on their shops while cruising Etsy):

  1. Cathy Cullis: Odd but fun embroidered pieces.  I like the outsider art feeling to her work.
  2. MADART: Paintings.  Love her bright colors!
  3. Pop Up Card Making: Beautiful Kirigami cards.
  4. Sushipot Art Objects: A very cool collection of mixed-media pieces.
  5. The Paper Pixie: Awesome paper tags of all kinds.
  6. Christina Romeo: Very cool paintings and quilts and mixed-media goodness!
  7. Ivan and Lucy: Totally cool handbags and pillows.

Thanks for stopping by!

  • Ahhh – I see similarities in product use. I don’t have the ATG Gun – I’m tempted to buy one- but it is so big and I see myself just taping myself down on to the layout 🙂 *snigger*

  • Hi Julie! Thanks for posting all of your frequently used items….Ur layouts are so cool I have no problem admitting that I plan to copy you! I still haven’t found my cutter bee scissors! Thanks for letting me borrow yours!! Hey! I just bought that tape dispensing gun two weeks ago! I’m disappointed that I didn’t wait for your post…I paid $41 for mine…and I love it already! So when are we ordering more rolls??? I thought I was purchasing an additional roll; however my gun came empty, so I only have one! 🙁 See you @ the next crop!

  • I often hear about that ATG….why is it so loved and do I need one? Just wondering if it is something I should not be living without!
