The challenge was to use as much ribbon as possible. So, here it is:
Details…
This layout was a labor of love. Here’s what I did:
1. I inked the edges of each of the photos.
2. To create the background: I glued brown, black and white ribbon to the background paper. Then I zig zag stitched between each row of ribbon. Then, I drew scallops on the back of the paper and used a pair of detail scissors to cut the scallops.
3. To create the swirl: I drew a swirl on cardstock and then cut it out. I adhered bits and pieces of blue and green ribbon to the swirl (a great way to use leftovers). I machine stitched around the edges of the cardstock shape. Finally, I cut the excess ribbon away.
4. To create the hearts: I cut out heart shapes from cardstock, adhered red, pink and orange ribbon to the shapes and then stitched around each one. Finally, I cut off the excess ribbon.
5. To create the layout: I layered the swirl onto the background and then adhered the photos. The hearts were adhered with a mixture of regular adhesive and foam dots, to pop some of them up. I added the title and journaling (done with stickers). And, voila!
You can see more of the entries here, although the Effer girls pushed the deadline back to Friday, so you might want to wait and see them all then.
There will be one more round and I’ve got my fingers crossed, hoping I’ll make it through!

That is so awesome! So, when you glued down the ribbons, did you just use your regular adhesive or did you end up using like a “wet” adhesive? Just wondering because that is just too cool….must scraplift you girl!!
